The Himalayan Computer Project


The Himalayan Computer Project was started nearly 10 years ago in conjunction with the Greater Asian Missions Ministries for Youth with a Mission in Cimarron Colorado. The ministry collects Previously Owned Laptop Computers to be used for the missions groups in the greater Asian region. These areas include, North and South India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tibet, Pakistan and Bhutan.  

Each used computer will be cleaned up and prepared for use in the ministries programs and leadership. All persons donating computers will receive a tax deductible receipt for their computer from Youth with a Mission.  

Computer donation requirements are: the donated LAPTOP computers must be in good to excellent working condition; all original reboot discs and operating system software must be included; all charging and electrical components must be included, Windows XP or higher operating system, 100+GB hard drive with 500+ mb RAM, 1+ gig of RAM preferred; internet accessible; Windows Explorer; CD/DVD player, reader, recorder; internal speakers and microphone; original User Manuals included; and any additional software program discs.  Please note that any and ALL personal files must be removed before donating the LAPTOP computer.
