Solid Rock – Climbers for Christ is a community of climbers, many of whom are followers of Christ that are interacting with principles of God found in the Bible. What does climbing have to do with one’s religious views? Not much or everything! We love to climb and as we do, we want to honor the God we serve and be a witness of Him.

No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, SRCFC has something for you. Enter our gear giveaway. Read training tips and trip reports. Order a Mongolian-made chalk-bag. Learn about high profile Christian climbers. Join in the forum discussions. Discover what it means to be a Christ-follower.

Remembering Calvin Landrus

In early August, we lost our long time Executive Director, Calvin Landrus, to Leukemia.  He now lives where there is no more pain or sorrow or suffering!   Calvin climbed hard, worked hard, and loved well.  He leaves a legacy of a life well lived, and has huge shoes to fill.  To learn more about Calvin and what he stood for, check out this video of him climbing a route at Smith Rock in Oregon.

Please pray for Calvin's family as they learn to live life without him, and also for the ministry of Solid Rock- that it would continue and grow even stronger.  The office staff and local outreach coordinators are working hard to keep things rolling during this transition, and the Board of Directors is actively seeking a successor.  Thank you for your prayers (and your grace) in this time!
