I would like to begin to send out weekly messages for communication of teachings, prayer requests, vision and other information. If you know any other climber who would like to join in reaching other climbers for Christ, please send their name and e-mail address to me at landrus@bendnet.com.

Right now, God is impressing me with the need to pray. First we need to pray for the evangelism of the people group called “climbers.” Let’s begin to pray that God moves in the hearts of climbers, drawing them to Himself. Pray that climbers see through their feelings of being in control of their destinies (an attitude produced by overcoming a climbing objective.) And pray they see their need for a Savior.

Second, pray for the reformation of Solid Rock. I’m reminded that prayer acknowledges that God is in charge. We may verbalize that He is in charge, but when we make our plans first, and then ask Him to bless them, we are actually declaring that we are in charge and hope that God approves of what we are doing. I don’t want that to happen. Pray that God is in charge!
