This is a black and white shot from a few years back. The climber is a good friend, head deep in a crack. He led us up "The Tooth" in Snoqualmie, Wa. This trip happend to be my first multi-pitch, and trad climb.
I look forward to seeing photos from others!

I recently photographed my university's Outdoor Adventure Fellowship's (OAF) rock climbing adventure at Carter Caves State Park in Kentucky. We are a new group that just started at our small university that focuses on discipleship through community by backpacking trips, spelunking, and rock climbing. Our group is trying to raise funds so we can purchase our own gear and go on more climbing trips throughout the spring! This is my friend, Trent, attempting to rock climb for the first time.

Our small climbing area is just like my local church - a small group of people fighting for access and to spread the joy of local climbing with others. This is a climbing gem for us, not on many maps, but it holds a special place in our hearts. Here local climber Matt Ratajczak holds on to a sloper on "Indulge" V7.

Just a little ice climbing outside of Breckenridge (if I remember correctly). Beautiful, overcast morning that turned in to a bit of a storm as the afternoon progressed. Great time and so many good shots.

This climb is a five star 5.12c located in Muir Valley called Cell Block Six. I have always enjoyed a dynamic/gymnastic style of sport climbing, so I was smitten when I found this route full of dynamic movement. Midnight Surf is the wall where it is located within Muir Valley, and it has uncharacteristic dark sandstone compared to the rest of Muir Valley. Perfect little climbing area even in the rain :)

Lost Arrow Tip, Yosemite CA. My friend wrote a TR of our Valley trip - http://cascadeclimbers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1104611
P1040302 - Copy.JPG

John's quote from his TR "So, Lost Arrow Tip. If you only had one opportunity to do one two-pitch route in your life, I would choose this one. This is a full-on technical, emotional and physical challenge. On paper it seems pathetic. 4 miles and 3,000' of hiking for what? 220' of climbing? And the climbing isn't even that memorable. But taken as a whole, climbing next to the constant roar of the falls, rapping down into the dark notch with a couple thousand feet of exposure to each side, the expectation and anxiety that you have to do a Tyrolean Traverse to get back out, all of this makes the LAT one of the best Yosemite experiences I've had thus far."

You can see a climber hanging on the left side of the spire belaying his second. I had just gotten down from this same route after climbing it with my friend Charly when I took this picture. I imagine that's what I had looked like just a little while before. The route is "Sunny Side Up" on the south side of the spire at Potrero Chico.

Absolutely love this photo because it captures a precious memory to me. On this day last spring I sent my first 5.10 (Oyster) and more importantly got to share the gospel with someone who had never heard it before. God had his hand on my group that day and He did miraculous works for the kingdom.

Mt Hood Sandy Headwall.jpg
Perfect day for the Memorial Day weekend for climbing the Sandy Headwall (north face) of Mount Hood. On a cloudless trip, we were completely alone as we climbed up the 60-degree slopes to the top of the Yokum Ridge, only to see that we were still far from the summit. Here, the craggy ridge of the Yokum trails behind as we climb the final 1000 feet to the top. Brian Kenison

N Face Chair Peak.jpg
On a very cold February day in February, Jay and I chose to climb the North Face of Chair Peak, located at Snoqualmie Pass, WA. Solid snow at the lower section turned into some awesome ice for the final two pitches to the summit. Brian Kenison

Incredible submissions, great to see so many people getting out and documenting their adventures. I'm inspired to have a few of my own the year and get them captured in the can.
