2007 National Conference - East Coast
October 10-14: Red River Gorge, KY
SRCFC has National Conferences on the Coasts in "odd" years
and one in the Rocky Mountain Region in “even” years.

    Rocktoberfest and Petzl RocTrip will be happening on the same weekend (October 12-14)! We are going to be a sponsor of the event and host a free climber's breakfast. Our best opportunity to gather will be before the weekend.

    Lodging/Camping Options

  • True North Outfitters Hostel
    SRCFC has already reserved and paid for spots at the Hostel. The cost $15 per night includes breakfast and is limited to 20. You can sign-up for a spot when you register with SRCFC.
  • Whittleton Campground
    Consider reserving your own site in Whittleton campground at Natural Bridge State Park. The campsites are $12 per night and reservations can be made at www.reserveamerica.com. SRCFC member, John F., is inviting other Solid Rockers to camp around his site of #A009 (reserved for 10/11 to 10/14). Please email John if you are make reservations near him.
  • Other Options
    There are other options in the area including the old mainstay Miguels. Your are encouraged to make arrangements before arriving because of the expected turnout. You can find other options at www.rrgcc.org/roctrip_camping.php.

  • Calvin Landrus: is the National Director SRCFC and started climbing in 1978. He as climbed almost all major Rock climbing areas in the USA.

    D E T A I L S

  • Suggested Program Donation: $50.00 per Adult (This is to cover program/outreach costs and encouraged by all participating at any level except for children, teens and students. This is a suggested donation and is not required for you to attend.)
  • Lodging Costs: $15.00 per night (For use of reserved Hostel already paid for by SRCFC. Those using other options will pay on their own.)
  • Payment Options: Mail in a check, use PayPal or pay at the event! After registering you will have a chance to pay via Email and PayPal or Check and Mail
  • Reservation Deadline: One Week Before Conference - October 3rd!!!
  • Your Responsibility: You are responsible for connecting with somenone to climb with (you will recieve a list of participants and climbing objectives), your camping equipment, all your meals and registration fees for the Roctoberfest/Petzl RocTrip!
