Support Needs of 2014 Climbing Mission Trip to Cuba

Once again SRCFC is sending a mission team to support and sponsor the Cuban National Climbing Competition February 20-24, 2014.  At this time, we have two traveling from the USA and as many as ten going from Mexico.  Please begin praying for the team going, the Cuban SRCFC Members, our Chapter Coordinator (Maikel) and for the climbers, both Cuban and other nationalities that will be reached during the trip.

Also, please consider giving a designated donation and/or new & like new gear for prizes, for using for outreach purposes, etc. for use both in Cuba and in Mexico.  The gear list of what is being requested has been prioritized in this order:
High Priority – ropes, harnesses, climbing shoes, stainless steel bolts & hangers, locking carbiners, quick draws, static rope, helmets, Grigri, chalk.

Second Priority – chalk bags, belay devices, cams, wired nuts, packs, pitons, sown web runners, climbing wall handholds, tents, head lamps, sleeping bags.  Basically, almost anything related to climbing you have that is new or like new could be used and would be sent.
Click here to donate funds.  To donate gear, send an email to trip leader Rick Krause ( as to what you want to donate and ship to the National Office shipping address (1844 SE Moorwood CT, Bend, OR 97702).
