2016 National Conference - Chattanooga, TN
October 21-26

OVERVIEW: National Conferences are traditionally our largest gatherings. You will have a chance to get to know more Solid Rockers and do ministry together with folks from many places. Also, we will be premiering the newest SRCFC video release, "Higher Ground."

The Climbing: The climbing on the SE sandstone is some of the most fun climbing around and Chattanooga, TN has become the region's hub.  And this is true whether it is bouldering, trad climbing or sport climbing. We will be camping at Foster Falls, which could  keep most climbers busy the whole conference.  Not too far away is T-Wall with world class trad climbing. And of course, the bouldering at Stone Fort and other places is outstanding.

The Big Three: Bouldering in the Southeast featuring Stone Fort, Rocktown & Horse Pens 40.

calhoun.jpgPRESENTER: We are pleased to announce that Kitty Calhoun will be our keynote presenter at this year’s conference. She has been a noteworthy alpine climber all her career, an industry ambassador for decades and currently works with Chicks with Picks; and through it all, she has continued with her faith in God. She has been part of SRCFC for many years, allowing herself to be known as a friend of SRCFC. Learn more about Kitty on our accomplished friends of SRCFC page.

WORLD PREMEIR VIDEO RELEASE: This year we will be showing for the first time, our new release, "Higher Ground."  This was a hard story for us to tell in a lot of ways.  John Unruh was a chapter coordinator in Mexico who was passionate about climbing and sharing the love of Jesus with climbers.  His death a year ago was a tragedy, and in this short look at his legacy we see both the pain, and the powerful legacy that he left behind.

The Camping: The main gathering/meeting place for the Conference will be the Foster Falls Campground in South Cumberland State Park.  SRCFC has reserved sites at the campground for Friday night, 10/21, until Tuesday night, 10/25.  It will costs $5 person per night payable beforehand or at the event. Staying in other locations in the area works too.

The Meetings: As mentioned above, meetings will be at the Foster Falls Campground in South Cumberland State Park. Please bring a camp chair and warm clothing.
