15th Annual International Day of Prayer for Climbers

15th Annual International Day of Prayer for Climbers

Thursday - May 4th, 2017

On Thursday, May 4th, 2017, you are invited to pray for the climbing community and SRCFC’s effectiveness in helping Christian climbers do outreach work. Generally, we have 80 to 100 Solid Rockers praying for hundreds of climbers by name as well as other requests. This happens the same day as the USA National Day of Prayer. Plan to join us this year! Our goal is to cover the entire 24 hour day from 12:00 am to 11:59 pm (Pacific Time or GMT minus 8:00) in 30 minute sessions. Sign-Up today!

24 Hour Prayer Signup

SIGN-UP DEADLINE: May 2nd at Midnight. After that, all who have signed-up will receive instructions, a prayer guide and requests via email.

“Wake Up!” will be our theme. If you were sleeping in a space that was filling up with carbon monoxide, would you be able to wake yourself up? No! To be saved either an alarm, or even better, someone with knowledge of what is happening would need to shout out, “Wake up! Save yourself! Get out!”

Ephesians 5:14 (NIV) says, “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” While there is some debate whether this applies to believers or to non-believers, it seems that there could be truth for both groups. We will be praying for unreached climbers to wake-up from the illusion that they can define God on their terms or even declare that there is no God.

For the Christian climber, we all need an awaking from time to time so that we can obey Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV): “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”

We will be praying that a loud, powerful voice wakes up climbers to what God has for them!
