August 18: BEAT THE HEAT 7, Sportrock, Alexandria, VA

The goal of Sportrock in hosting this event is to honor their members and their guests and to increase the community of climbers in the D.C. Metro area. The day will be filled with climbing on new boulder problems by their stellar setting team, climbing competition, clinics, giveaways, food and music. Every year the event grows and they're expecting well over 500 members and guests.  SRCFC is a sponsor of this event and will be able to place a table and banner at the event.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Mid-Atlantic Chapter Coordinator, Kristin Anderson, at klymber@gmail.com as she is looking for a team to staff the outreach table.
